Copyright Rights

To publish an entry or essay, the Encyclopedia of Law must ensure that the author or the Encyclopedia has obtained all the necessary rights. In the majority of cases the standard APS Transfer of Copyright agreement completed by the corresponding author will be sufficient. If, however, one or more authors are employed by a government agency a separate ‘license to publish’ agreement may also/instead be required. To help manage this process, the Encyclopedia publishing online service that helps the completion of the agreement(s) appropriate for any given entry or essay.
